About the project: guides millions in finding fulfilling career and educational paths. This project aims to migrate the legacy platform to Azure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and modern infrastructure. Post-migration, enhancements will include API integration, subscription services, and dynamic content delivery, supporting future innovations such as redesigned sites and AI-powered insights. The .NET Developer will be a key player in transforming this platform into a scalable, cloud-based solution to empower individuals and organizations worldwide.

Job requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Migrate legacy .NET applications and SQL Server databases from on-premises Windows Server 2012 R2 to Azure.

  • Containerize applications using Docker to enable deployment flexibility and manage dependencies in the cloud.

  • Set up and configure CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments across development, staging, and production environments.

  • Perform codebase adjustments for compatibility with cloud infrastructure, addressing dependencies and resolving issues as needed.

  • Enable API access to deliver assessment results to external applications and integrate additional assessments in the future.

  • Implement enhancements such as subscription-based access, dynamic user content, and customizable branding options for coaches.

  • Address and resolve performance issues, including slow page load times, navigation issues, and image display bugs.

  • Collaborate closely with DevOps, QA, and product teams to ensure smooth migration and post-migration functionality.

  • Document migration processes, codebase changes, and provide knowledge transfer for future development and support teams.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of .NET Development experience, including hands-on experience with .NET Framework 4.8.

  • Proven experience in cloud migrations, preferably with Azure, including configuration of resources like Azure App Services and SQL Database.

  • Proficiency in Docker for containerizing applications, managing dependencies, and deployment in cloud environments.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline setup and configuration, ideally using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

  • Strong SQL Server skills, including database migration, schema updates, data integrity checks, and performance tuning.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize legacy applications for performance and compatibility in the cloud.

  • Upper Intermediate+ English level.

Will be a plus:

  • Experience with payment gateway integrations (e.g., PayPal Manager Pro, Stripe).

  • Familiarity with frontend/UI technologies (vanilla JS, React, HTML).

  • Knowledge of AI/ML services, especially within the Azure ecosystem, such as Azure OpenAI.

  • Exposure to subscription-based access models and dynamic content delivery.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira for issue tracking and project management
